For some reason, since I was a child I have always longing to visit the land of the rising sun, which known as Japan! I started get to know Japan from the Manga (Japan comic book), Anime (Japan animation video), J-pop Music (Japanese Pop Music) and other interesting stuff.
I am always curious to see how Japan looks like in the real world since it's always fascinating if we see Japan via Manga / Anime / J-pop. However ironically I have always put Japan the last one on my "Place to visit" list, simply due to the language barrier and the cost (I was told that Japan is SUPER expensive, always!).
As I was growing from kids to teenager, not sure why somehow I lost interest in Japan, maybe due to the booming Korea Culture in the recent years. Korea put a lot effort on showcasing their country, culture, food, music, etc.
However In early 2016, one of my friends successfully brought Japan back to my interest! Starting from there I started to accumulate my interest on Japan.
Finally in late 2016, I made up my mind on visiting Japan in the Spring 2017 despite of knowing there's a language barrier (I have super minimum knowledge on Japanese language) and expensive cost.
When I travels, I always hate the idea on going with a tour agency simply due to the high cost and we need to follow the schedule, it's not free and easy. I will cover the reason why it's not worth to travel with a tour (especially when we are young) on other post since it will be a long post!
With above thinking in mind, I was definitely sure that I wouldn't survive traveling alone in Japan. Luckily I was able to drag my 2 friends to join this trip, so that at least I will not lost alone! :)
In this trip, we decided that we will be visiting the central Japan and we want to see Sakura flower!
The trip duration itself was 16 days! Lucky that I have a manager that allow me to take such long leave. :)
We visited below cities in 16 days from 24th March to 8th April 2017:
Osaka
Kyoto
Nagoya
Lake Kawaguchiko
Hakone
Tokyo
*I will cover each city on the next post, you can click the link on the city for the details each day. The link will be updated after I finished the post on the particular city. :)
We used travefy website to plan our trip. The website allow us to customize and plan the trip easily, I will cover on how to use the website in another post.
While waiting our "long awaited trip" I spent my free time on studying Japanese language for couples of months at IKOMA. The purpose is to get to know Japanese language, at least I can communicate a bit in Japanese.

P.s. Interestingly during the planning, interestingly we found out that traveling to Japan is not as expensive as what we thought, we took a hostel instead of hotel which really reduce the cost. :)
